SP 5 Acupuncture Point is called as shāng qiū. Shang means one of the five sounds pertaining to metal. Qiu means Hills. This is the Jing-River point of the spleen merdian and pertains to metal. This point is below the medial malleolus, which looks like a hill.

On the medial foot, in the depression midway between the navicular bone and the vertex of the medial malleolus. Needle perpendicularly 0.2 – 0.3 cun.
