ST 9 Acupuncture Point is called as rén yíng. Ren means Mankind. Ying means to meet. This point lies beside Renying artery(common carotid artery)

ST 9 Acupuncture Point Location

On the neck, on the anterior border of sternocleidomastoid muscle, at the level of the laryngeal prominence. Needle perpendicularly 0.3 – 0.5 cun.

Level with the tip of the laryngeal prominence, in the depression between the anterior border of the SCM and the lateral border of the thyroid cartilage
