BL 10 Acupuncture Point is called as Tian Zhu. Tian means Heaven. Zhu means Pillar. Heaven here means Upper. The cervical spine is called Zhugu(pillar bone) in ancient times and this point is lateral to it.

In the nuchal region, on the lateral border of the trapezius muscle, 1.3 cun lateral to GV 15 at the level between cervical vertebrae C1 and C2. Needle perpendicularly 0.5 – 0.8 cun.
