BL 43 Acupuncture Point is called as Gao Huang Shu. Gao means Fat. Huang means Membrane. GaoHuang refers to the fat and membrane below the Heart and above the diaphragm. Since this part is close to the pericardium, it is considered as the component of the pericardium. This point is at the level of the JueYinShu(BL 14)
BL 43 Acupuncture Point Location
On the upper back, 3 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the fourth thoracic vertebra (T4), at the level of BL 14. Needle perpendicularly 0.3 – 0.5 cun.
