BL 55 Acupuncture Point is called as He Yang. He means Confluence. Yang means Yang of Yin Yang. This meridian runs downwards from the neck, where it branches out into two lines. After meeting at WeiZhong (BL 40), it travels downwards and gradually descends along the muscle. The higher point is considered as Yang.
BL 55 Acupuncture Point Location
On the posterior leg, 2 cun inferior to BL 40 at the popliteal crease, between the medial and lateral heads of the gastrocnemius muscle. Needle perpendicularly 0.7 – 1 cun.
