LI 9 Acupuncture Point is called as Shang Lian. Shang means Superior. Lian means Edge. This point is superior to XiaLian(LI 8) at the dorsal side of the forearm, close to the radial aspect.

On the radial side of the posterior antebrachial region, 3 cun distal cubital crease, on the line connecting LI 5 at the wrist and LI 11 at the lateral cubital crease. Needle perpendicularly 0.5 – 1 cun.
