ST 39 Acupuncture Point is called as xià jù xū. Xia means Lower. Ju means Great. Xu means Void. A large void is formed between the Tibia and the Fibula. The point lies in the lower part of the void.
ST 39 Acupuncture Point Location
On the leg, one cun inferior to ST 38 at the midpoint of a line between ST 35 at the lateral patella and the lateral malleolus. Needle perpendicularly 0.5 – 1 cun.
