GB 23 Acupuncture Point is called as Zhe Jin. Zhe means Ear of a Cart. Jin means Muscle. The ear of a cart is the plate protecting its wheel. The muscle on both sides of the flanks are as prominent as the ears of a cart, where the point is located.
GB 23 Acupuncture Point Location
On the lateral chest wall, on the 4th intercostal space, 1 cun anterior to GB22. Needle obliquely 0.3 – 0.5 cun.
