GB 39 Acupuncture Point is called as Xuan Zhong. Xuan means Hanging. Zhong means Bell. Another name for this point JueGu. This point is above the lateral malleolus, where children in ancient times used to hang a bell.

On the lateral side of the leg, 3 cun superior to the prominence of the lateral malleolus. Needle perpendicularly 0.3 – 0.5 cun.
