LIV 14 Acupuncture Point

LR 14 Acupuncture Point is called as qí mén. Qi means Cycle. Men means Door. The bilateral flanks where the point is located look like an open door. When the Qi of the meridian reaches here. it is considered as one cycle of circulation. The point is therefore names as Qimen.

On the chest, on the midclavicular line, in the sixth intercostal space, at the level of CV 14.
Needle obliquely 0.3 – 0.5 cun.

In the 6th intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to midline
