ST 34 Acupuncture Point is called as liáng qīu. Liang means Ridge. Qiu mean Hill. The prominent muscle over the knee, where this point is located, looks like a ridge and Hill.

On the anterior thigh, on a line between the anterior superior iliac spine and the superolatero patella, 2 cun superior to lateral patella. Needle perpendicularly 0.5 – 1 cun. Contraindication: Do Not Needle If Pregnancy is known/suspect

On the thigh, 2 cun proximal to the superior border of the patella
